Unable to select abstract customisable objects
I have used several customisable abstract objects to add drawings and photographs to a map. The thing is that I can add and modify them if I keep them selected but if at some point I deselect them, I am unable to select them again. Is there any trick or way to do it?

Hmmm...you should be able to modify an existing abstract any time you want. Would you be opposed to joining our Discord so we can help you better? Steam Discussion group is a little bit difficult for troubleshooting. https://discord.gg/DungeonAlchemist

The problem is not in modifying them, the problem is that I cannot select them again if I deselect them. I click on them but nothing happens. It has happened to me in several abstract objects that are "flat" and as soon as I lose their selection, I cannot select them again.

Right, but my point was that you should still be able to select them. You can't modify an abstract if you can't select it. And they should act like any asset you drop onto a map. Select it, move it around, resize it, move it up/down, etc.

I just tested it and it works fine. I needed some glowing stones and I found some on the Internet. Grabbed them. Dropped them onto an abstract. Looks great. Selected that same abstract and changed the stones for some onyx stone instead. It works for me. This is why I suggested our Discord #question-forum so we can see what's going on.

OH! DA does have an issue if you place things into larger things. So for instance, let's say you wanted to put a small bird in a cage. You can do it, but as soon as the bird is in the cage, you'll have trouble selecting the bird again. This is a known issue, but I'm not sure when it'll be fixed.

This is the specific case. When I put abstract objects on a wall, once I deselect them, I cannot select them again. I have another one that is on a piece of furniture and does not have this problem. They are the ones on the walls.

Okay, so...hmmm....yeah. Abstracts on walls. I've never done that before cuz all our pictures are customizable and I just use those. BUT...the frames will go above the walls and that bugs some people. I don't care, but some folks don't like it. For now, it's a problem that I'm hoping will be solved at some point.

Yes, I have also used framed pictures because you can customize the image. But in this case, they were pictures that didn't make sense to have a frame.

Okay, all that's left to do is adapt and get these things done in one go. Thanks for your help.

Sure thing! Sorry we couldn't get it resolved, but DA is still Early Access and there's time to get this issue wrapped up before it's in full release.
