How do you guys use this with dnd?
So how do you guys use this program for all you dnd adventures? I really want to use Dungeon Alchemist more but I have no clue how to go about it decently so.

I been using roll 20 for the dynamic lighting so I can hide creatures and threats inside the map and allow my players to know exactly what they see but I do really like the 3d elements that dungeon alchemist itself offers.

How do you guys use it?

Foundry VTT - flat screen.

If you've got the pro subscription for R20 Dungeon Alchemist will set up all the doors, windows, and dynamic lighting for you. It does the same with Foundry and Fantasy Grounds. It's also got a Universal VTT format for those VTTs that use it. I create my maps in Dungeon Alchemist and then I import them into my VTT. If there's a special things I want my players to see, I'll create a screenshot within DA or I'll make a small movie to show them.

I use Fantasy Grounds and I export to that VTT and when I import the DA maps (top-down) it brings in the walls, doors, windows and lights.

I share screen through facebook for my players.
Not only do I export the maps to VTT, I run my 5E campaign on Zoom while using Tabletop Audio and use the DA first person and 3D map view to make the settings more immersive. Here is an example if you're interested - Youtube: The Beholder's Share https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXliw8A7kZg

I am actually printing some of the maps with 1 inch squares to play in person. I am making a ad&d module award for the players when they complete the adventure.

I hope to use it with my 32" tabletop screen for in person play, only just signed up but the screen works great with other maps, be they images or videos.

Will you use any additional programs or just the Dungeon Alchemist program to project onto your VTT flatscreen television? I was thinking about buying a television for a flatscreen, buying one off of Ebay. Then plugging in my laptop to manage the campaign for the players. I am new to this idea and don't know what programs to use. I didn't know if Dungeon Alchemist is all you use. I want to be at a table and not Roll20 or Fantasy grounds. I want to do it all "in person. "
