Multi-page printable maps?
When creating a map I have options for various page sizes. Right now I only have a standard printer with 11x8.5 inch pages available to me which limit my map drastically if I want to print the maps out for 1 inch (25mm) grid for gameplay with minis.

Is there some way to create a map that is meant to be printed out and combined to form a larger map? This could be handy for putting together 2, 4 or 6 pages that are printed out and meant to be placed together ot make a larger map. Could make decent sized dungeons feasible.

Is this possible now? If not, is this somehting that is planned as afeature?

We do plan to add this in the future :).

You just can use a bigger page size. As you cannot print directly from DA, you have to use your standard picture viewer to print it, it should be able to split it into several pages.

For now I ended up using Adobe Acrobat to posterize it. Ther emight be other apps that cna do this too, maybe photoshop, I haven't tried. But having the progrma spit out the split up pages for easy printintg would be ideal.

Multi-page printable maps is also a feature I would very much appreciate. Not sure how viable it would be, but one possibility for implementing it might be when a printable paper-size is selected (say A4), the generated map is then created in a4-sized 'chunks'. So anything overlapping 'chunk 1' is printed out on the 'chunk 2' page and so on, allowing everything to be printed out on identical paper sizes and just reassembled. This would presumably save having to calculate dividing up odd-sized maps, as the map would essentially be drawn on a bunch of single paper sheets sitting next to each other in the first place.

Lots of future still left in our development including 5 major planned updates on our roadmap[dungeonalchemist.upvoty.com]. This feature will be addressed in due time. For now its actually rather straightforward to cut an image up into equal parts using image editing. It's called rasterization and there are free tools such as Posterizer/Rasterbator[posterizer.online] to utilize for this purpose. Allowing you to split a large digital image into many smaller printable sized pages.

Having used this tool in the past, for this precise purpose, it is indeed very easy to split a digital image into many smaller printable size pages.....so long as you don't actually care about maintaining the correct scale. Otherwise it involves a a combination of calculation and guesswork if you want your one inch grid lines to *still be* one inch grid lines after they are printed.
