We have released a hotfix that fixes the save bug and a few other minor issues.

IMPORTANT: for the game to work correctly, you need to delete this folder USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Pirozhok Std_\Anvil Saga

For now, save-on-quit is already implemented in the hotfix patch that's going to land shortly. It's not an ideal solution, but still better than nothing

I've tried it just now, and the game is up to date.
My game did not save on quit. It is still stuck on day 3. No matter what I do, my save stays at day 3

other games have had issues on launch, like new world having massive waiting line to get on the server. Some games have duping issues on release. But this lack of "save" on single player game, if not fixed FAST, will be the death of your indie game, and probably lack of support for any future projects you guys try to undertake.

I realize, the game was released under 24 hours ago, but... if it take another 24 hours to fix........ lets just say you-tube, twitter, discord are very brutal places.

i play 5 hours long and my save is gone ;( Maybe you should temporary make quick save for people if autosave not work? i like this game but its frustrating when you lose so much progres in game.

Did you switch to the open-testing mode? There was no hotfix in the main branch yet

Hi, first thanks for the game, having a great time with it and fully aware it's an early access so bugs are expected.

I just loaded back a save in sandbox mode on the test branch (main menu version: 0.11-Production) and when trying to forge, Arthur would keep running in front of the forge without forging. Sometimes it unfixes when accepting new orders but after one order the progress bar would stay at 0 with Arthur running in front of the forge again.

Just adding that it get stuck also when completing the order (the order didn't started so I reloaded then it started and got stuck in the end with Arthur keeping forging). I also run the game as administrator.

Am I able to recover data?

I lost progress because of the auto saves, so much so that I'm back to the start of the Upgrade Stall quest (Prestigious novelties), but I was literally 1 fame point and like 50 gold away from upgrading the stall.

is there a way to, by running the game as administrator, to recover any autosaves that the game might've taken? Or is the problem that the game won't make any auto saves, and only saves by major quests/events, (I somehow have a save on day 5, and day 6), or is it just no auto saves unless ran by administrator?

Unfortunately you're not able to recover the data, but I can send you a save file with 2 workers and a nice house if you want so you don't have to start from scratch.

Hello. Another bug in open-testing branch. When i load i loose mining tools, don't know if only them or all tools. But I don't have problem with tool list anymore :o)
