Where is the blood chest key?

This is pertaining to the two arguing neighbors in Dead Man's Promise. I have been playing for THREE DAYS, and I am absolutely convinced I have scoured the properties of the two neighbors, but I can't find a key to the chest in the field to complete the ultimate weapons. Yes, I talked to the neighbor in the south who sorta thought he hid it in the northern neighbor's pile of pig droppings... I am concerned my game may have a bug and maybe the key actually didn't spawn.

Other than that, I have already found all known special weapons except the scythes and bear claw weapons, been in all portals, and have the final portal at the bottom of the mines ready.

Just need the damn key so I can get the blood from the safe, make the "ultimate weapon", and finish this.

for me, it was in a shelf in the house of the ghost with the (irish?) accent

But for what i heard, it can also be on the edge of a broken ceiling plank of one of the houses, im assuming the one with the hat

Hell, that is NOWHERE close to the pig barns... thank you all, looking into it now!

EDIT:

Found it in an even DIFFERENT area - it was on a shelf left of the door in the northern ghost's SPARE bedroom (with the stove and such, not where the ghost is!)

For some reason it wasn't showing up when I was on the ground and hit "Tab" for inventory. I found it by hitting Tab when I was standing on the "bacon" (suuure it is...) in the frying pan on the stove and hitting Tab.

VERY useful tip to stand in a spot and open the inventory, even if you have made me feel stupid for missing something obvious like that. :D

Moral of the story for everyone else: the ghosts DO NOT HELP YOU FIND THE KEY, in case any else got the southern ghost's "memory" of "I think I hid it in his pig's sh*t..."
