Gravedigger quest

In the gravedigger quest you are required to open a coffin in the cemetery but you need to get a key first.
I got the key but still I am unable to interact with the coffin.
What am I missing here?

Are you sure you didn't get the item from the coffin already? You can check the item quest tab in your inventory, if you have skull you're good to go!

If that's not the case, let us know!

Next patch will bring a bit more polish to this quest chain as well.

There is a good chance that I picked something up from that area already yes when I started chapter 2. Cant remember what it was as I just happened upon it.
Now the game sends me there with a marker on the map. and a video on youtube showed me that I needed to go to the ship to pick up the key. Done that as well.
I have also summoned "the undead"

The image below show me standing next to the grave with the quest inventory open.
you can see the black swirl around the edge of the screen, showing that there is/was something there.

If you have summoned The Undead that means you've got exactly what you needed. Carry on! :D

Coming up patch will smooth this quest out to avoid such confusion.

as I was composing my reply I sort of came to that conclusion as well haha.
Already carried on, chapter 3 is currently kicking my butt, I am having a lot of fun.

Hello,

I'm having a similar issue, but I can't seem to progress any further questlines. I've spoken to all the NPCs. I can't seem to get the bonfires to fight final boss to spawn. I think I'm blocked from progressing?

Update: I not blocked from the entire storyline. I confused the map with my journal - didn't realize I had a quest in the journal without map marker.
