Anyway to fix this? Melee killed an enemy only to find an enemy shotgun guy was clipped inside of the floor in the enemy and just instantly killed me from full hp. Is there anything I can do to repair? Kind of a game killer for me.

Hey there!
Enemy clipping inside the floor shouldn't be happening. Do you maybe have a video of this happening? Or can tell us the exact location where it happened?

As for your woes, you can try loading your most recent BAK file before dying.
Simply find your save in appadata and rename YOUR_SAVE.BAK1 to YOUR_SAVE.BLOOD_WEST_SAVE and try loading it.
Backup your saves beforehand just in case!

Thanks for the reply and info. Will provide a screenshot when I have the time. It was in chapter 2. I turned a corner and there was a skinwalker with his back turned to me. I didn't notice as it's not something I really expected but there was a skallywag sort of clipped inside the skinwalker but at a lower Y Axis. I stabbed the skinwalker in the back of the head, to which the Skallywag instantly filled me with two point blank shots of double barrel. He was sort of partly into the floor.

I imagine they either somehow accidentally spawned inside each other and bugged due to it or somehow got stuck into each other while patrolling.

The backup save doesn't seem to help, the backup seems to load the instant after I died and the newer save is when I closed the game right after.

edit: Yeah it seems my backup is just an autosave right after the instant I died and respawned and then my newest file is when I closed the game right after. Will just finish the chapter and if I do the rest without dying just give myself the achievement.

Was there any stairs or a ramp? The worst I can think off is two enemies trying to pass each other and kinda failing that, in which situation they would be very close to each other but not exactly inside/clipping.

Did you try other bak files? There are 3 in total, the bak2 and bak3 should be some older saves.

Mind you, everytime you save & exit, a new bak1 file is created. That's why I asked you to do a backup in case something goes wrong or a proper file gets overwritten.

And if you can send us the location screen later on, that would be very helpful!

Ahhh.. I probably ruined that by trying to load an earlier save when it initially happened, failing and closing the game. Meaning both my backups after after the death cause I opened the game twice and "save and exit."

It was in the town, in a room directly opposite the barbers. I killed the skin walker right where the undead monster is standing right now. The Skallywag was inside the skinwalker at the time but seems they've all shifted after I respawned.

This seems the case, yeah :/ Unless you have some external backup going on, not much can be done now.

Even the saves from Steam's cloud are almost instantly replaced and overwritten once you close the game, so they won't be of use :/

As for the location, thanks, we will look into this and see if there's something wrong going on. And if so, we will deal with the problem!

I've played the game a chunk and never seen anything like this happen before. I guess the room is pretty cramped with 3 separate enemies all placed inside of it. Especially if they're trying to walk in/out the doorway?

Probably the reason, yes. We will consider separating their patrol routes a bit, that could help alleviate the issue for any future playthrough.

Still, bad luck can happen. Rise again, undead and slay!
