$18,900 are you serious?
In order to buy everything from the merchant in Act 2, you need $18,900. This is absolutly crazy since people are trying to collect everything before moving onto a new chapter.

Funny enough there is a gun in chapter 3 that costs that much, they should really tweak the cost of these items as having relics to reduce it isn't a solution but a bandaid.

Yeah, having to backtrack 8000 times to sell guns that fill my inventory and only give $30 worth of gold is really killing my enjoyment of the game.

Id advice you to just ignore them and get relics as they take up less space and have better effects in general.
Making this much is very simple, I've learned a few cheesy ways to make money quickly. For example, the "miner" zombies? They are almost guaranteed to drop an extra gold nugget worth $55, and even better, with the Magpie blessing and extra monster loot skill maxed, they can drop even more! Most stronger monsters are not actually worth killing due to the money differences in loot, even killing a Death Stalker is on average LESS profitable than killing a SINGLE miner zombie due to this fact. Also, this is the most important tip I can give you, find the unique sawed-off shotgun "Emerald Eyes" for +25% cheaper item purchases, the unique item at the lighthouse snuff tin for another +20% cheaper item purchases, these are both in Act 2 and are actually very easy to get, emerald eyes at Gator Farm's shack nearby, guarded by Death Stalker, tin of snuff artifact at lighthouse. You can also use if you're really desperate for cash, the Rattler pistol and only go for headshots, but this is not optimal since using any ammo is still costing some cash technically, melee weapons are best for clearing enemies quickly and effectively for free.

Having to rely on relics to make prices better is just lazy plus those items mentioned require you to either die(what most will do anyway) or use a potion to remove. The only expensive items from chapter 2-3 are the weapons and some relics neither are really worth the money since you tend to get some better once via exploration.

You don't need to buy everything, infact you shouldn't because your stash can't even hold everything by time you reach chapter 3 and there are better weapons and upgrades so there's no reason to keep older things.

That being said, I was still able to buy every unique in every chapter easily by just selling mob drops, mostly keeping the ace of clubs on 90% of the game. If you manage your inventory well, get strong back and the merchant perk that makes things cheaper, it's quite easy to buy what you need. I ended up with $18,000 by the end game with more money than I could spend.

Stash is unlimited

usual money makers are items 2x2 or smaller. Monster bits stack well with Strong Back, and gold nuggets and coins show up fairly often. I don't usually use the various alcohols and potions so other than a small stock in the stash I sell those. Never bother to loot weapons unless it is a higher end one you know you won't use (or already have a unique version of). Started chap3 with an absurd amount of money and ended it with more than 30K after buying the best weapon in the game. Miners are a good source of income as they usually have a nugget each, and go down to a single body shot from higher end pistols.
Also, why bother buying everything? Just buy what you plan to use, because you are likely to find something better eventually anyway. In Chp3 I had a stash overflowing with artifacts and weapons I have never and will never use.

I actually never knew this, wow. I always thought the space was full so I would shuffle things out and sell. Haha, oh well.

I have a little over 5k and have had the loot perk maxed as soon as I started the game along with strongback. I have also had the Ace card on the whole time as well. I am at the end of Act 2 and checked every corner and looted everything I could. While I haven't sold everything in Act 2 beyond the default teeth from Act 1 just yet, the prices are completely bonkers without the help of specific accessories. They should be a bonus and not a requirement to buy everything.

The clubs is in the early chapters? Only found heart and diamond starting in chapter 3.

Plus a game liek that this that doesn't let you go to previous Acts is really bad since you could miss something that you could have used or wanted. I played the game and beat Act 1 before I knew you couldn't go back. I didn't buy anything from the 2nd merchant quite yet and missed them all. I had to restart my game since that Orb pistol was really good. If the dev allowed travel between maps and didn't lock things away from the players, it wouldn't be that big of a deal to not get everything since I could always go back and grab it, but can't.

Simple fix would to have the totem of souls have access to all the merchant pools, along with relics you missed in previous chapters.
