how come no one discussing how dark this game is?
cannot see a thing with 15 meters away, everything looks straight out of black hole which makes it eye painfull especially in 30 min + sessions

Is there a flashlight or anything? Or you guys just playing it with a nightvision mod on?

And yes I did tweaked my settings already, if I tweak it a bit more It would look like a moon got a daylight vibe

I thought it's supposed to be this way, never bothered me. Too much light and it would be too easy.

that's what I did and I got to tell it kinda kills the aspect of the night being dark, I really do like dark nights myself where its BLACK DARK.

yet these are unbeareble without some flashes and game has none of such

i think this game could use a belt-mounted lamp or something that you can toggle for dynamic light that makes you lose stealth easily

It only seemed really bad at the first few minutes when my eyes were adjusting and you're starting in a dark cave. Soon as I got outside into the (weirdly-pale) sand I had no issues, and never noticed darkness problems for the rest of that chapter or chapter 2.

I had trouble with the base darkness of the game too. My initial idea was to increase the Brightness, but that only made everything look so ugly and pale. I then tried to leave Brightness at 0% and instead change the Gamma, and as I lowered it to 50-70% it really made the visuals better for me. It brightens everything up while keeping the dark tones, somehow. Maybe this helps you too.
