Would not say no to a secondary co-op game mode, like wave defence in iconic locations from the campaign, or indeed a series of smaller co-op missions with various objectives, though.
It's missing a server.
This is devOps work. They are a small studio of game devs, asking them to add coop is basically asking them to learn a new job or to hire someone for $120K at minimum just to add a mode for a few people in their $10 game...
I'm not trying to be a d!ck here. I'm just explaining that you're basically expecting someone to build you a trailer because... well, of course, he's a mechanic and that's how it works!
Devs always can configure enemies and their ai to be a challenge for a cooperative play
So because someone asked for it, it can't be done because it's "hard" the Blood West team has actually done a good job at listening to the community, and filtering out suggestions they don't deem fit with the game.
You say "Not trying to be a d!ck here" but you're very much saying "Shut up, this opinion/suggestion is dumb, because it's hard to do, sit down and be quiet"
The Devs can very well just ignore this, or even say "sorry we have no plans for coop, it doesn't fit with what we envision Blood West to be" Are you the Dev team? have you been appointed to dictate what suggestions/ideas can and cannot be made?
Not all games require co-op.
I've played a myriad of co-op games, as a QA (quality assurance) in some games, I can personally say there 'two factors' for high-wanting of co-op: replayability, and popularity. For example, Don't Starve was originally single player, due its overwhelming popularity, it now has multiplayer (as a standalone). Unfortunately, in my humble opinion, it's not worth the time and resources.
In the end of the day, you're the developer.
sorry to hijack this thread but ive got a question as im looking at this game to buy right now, actually theres a two game bundle so i might buy them both if the answer is yes for both games.
Does the game support 21:9 ultrawide??..if it does ill buy it now and the other game which i cant remember its name but it plays a little like thief..
if they dont support 21:9 do you have plans to implement it anytime soon?
any help is much appreciated.
Go play those then.
