Head of a leshen not showing in inventory

I killed the leshen thats furthest north on the map, and it said that I picked it up off its corpse but its not showing in my inventory.

Do you have your inventory set to hide junk? The leshen head isn't used in crafting or any quests and automatically gets marked as junk.

I had the same thing, not only for this particular item. After a while or possibly when crafting/shopping it would appear though.
