Frog Slaying (Duped rewards)

I forgot the name of the NPC, south of the inn, but he asked me to kill some frogs. I agreed (at a very low level) and ended up running away (NPC offscreen) after he solo killed two of them. After a while, he ran around the small pond/island and came back to me saying thanks and gave 50 gold.

He continued to patrol around this area with the quest completed, and killed another frog or two, and ran up to me and gave the reward again. This happened three times in total for 150 gold.

I appreciate his friendliness, but obviously not intended.

Steps:
Accept quest
Retreat once frogs aggroed/died
Accept reward
Loot rustweed(?) on the ground
Dialogue giving it to NPC
NPC 'retreats' and kills more frogs pathing to inn
Get dialogue thanking me, rewarded again
