Blood and iron in the arena quest softlock

I cannot fight the dude in Nemeton to prove myself to Angus. He and the woman are standing in the pit, not moving, 24/7, I cannot even hover over and click them. Hovering doesnt even show names.

For circumstances, I jumped straight to act 3. Then I fought the woman, but didnt fight the man. Then I did the act 3 quest and came back only to find them standing there. I finished up act 3, got my runes, but they are still standing there.

EDIT: Okay I just had to do a good old reload. Then they started fighting as I guess they were supposed to.
