[Linux] No controller support
Hi,

Bought the game because it seems nice, and it has "Linux Native Build" and Full Controller support, especially advertised on the Steam store page.

Unfortunately controller support does not seem to work at all. I've tried both with Steam Input enabled and disabled.

Controllers that I have tried are:
- Dualsense controller (PS5) connected wireless via Bluetooth or wired via USB
- Xbox series X controller connected wireless via Xbox adapter (xone driver) or wired via USB

The game does not seem to detect either controller or react to it's inputs.

I have tried both the Linux Native version and via Proton 9.0-3, so Windows version. Both with Steam active and with Steam off, running directly the game from the install folder.

With the same hardware, software and connections methods, the controllers work OK in other games.

That is really odd, the game should support all kinds of controllers :/ We'll look into it, thanks for reporting it here!

Yeah, Unity and Rewired is always a pain on "Linux Native", in my experience. However it seems that even with the Windows version and Proton it does not work right now.

See this for some more examples or info:

Ah interesting, thanks for the info! We'll look into our rewired version and try to update it. Will probably not in the next patch, as we are currently wrapping it up and don't want introduce new (untested) bugs. Hope it is fixed then !

I have sent an in game Bug report with some more info. I forgot to mention that Steam Input was disabled during the test and the controller was working. With Steam Input it was not. Also, it seems that the controller connected wireless via Bluetooth also does not work (even when it worked wired via USB).

Thanks for the feedback. Another alternative would be Input System[docs.unity3d.com]

As suggested, after upgrading, maybe try publishing a beta branch for further testing.
