PSA: Crafting is not for profit in this game
TL;DR: Don't bother crafting for profit. You're better off selling the materials you would have used instead. Craft only whatever consumables you plan on using.

Now for the rationale and examples...

To begin with, you have to buy almost all of the crafting recipes, which would be fine if crafting the items actually resulted in a profit to eventually cover the cost of the recipe, but it almost never does. Most recipes range from 50-200 coins with some outliers.

Note: All prices below are SELL prices - my points here are already considering that you're using ONLY found materials. Buying materials for crafting guarantees a significant loss every time.

Here's an example:
Ring With Dara Knot - Sell Price 160
Requires Great Ring of Violence (80) + 6 Lump of Silver (24) + 1 Diamond (60)
Sell Price for the raw materials is 164, so you're taking a loss of 4 coins... and you have to buy the recipe to start with so you're already down 175 coins.
---
Great Ring of Violence (80) itself requires 1 Ring of Violence (40) + 6 Snaptor Feather (12) + 6 Lump of Silver (24), so that's +4 coins each, but the recipe cost you 125. You'll never find enough rings in the wild to break even.
---
Ring of Violence (40) requires 5 Lump of SIlver (20) + 2 Spider Thread (10) + 4 Teeth (8) for a profit of 2 coins each, but again, you are paying for the recipe to start with.
---
If you're crafting the 3rd-tier ring from scratch, that's a total profit of 2 coins per, but the up-front cost in recipes is 325-375 (I can't remember the price of the first recipe, but it must be in that range). It's just plain not worth it, and you'll probably have better uses for that large but finite pile of silver.

A rarer but far more egregious example though is Yggdrasil's Ring - takes 3 Rings of the Norns to make, worth 20 each, and the final sale price is 60... so you'd only break even except that the recipe costs FIVE HUNDRED COINS. And there's a limited number of those rings in game, so you can never hope to make your money back for that recipe. Is +20 HP worth 560 coins and an accessory slot by the time you've found three Rings of the Norns? I don't think so.

Silver arrows: 6 coins sell price
Requires 1 Lump of silver (4) + 1 Harpy Feather (5) + 1 Log (1) = 10. 4 coins lost PER ARROW.

For food, you're making maybe 2-4 coins per craft, for some recipes, but... you're going to need to eat that food, most of the good recipes use ingredients that are in short supply, and again you need to pay for most of the recipes up front anyway, so you won't realistically ever break even. With potions you are again paying up-front for the recipe, and you break even or lose a few coins, you'll want to use them anyway.

The game feels undercooked, gothic games came out 20+ years ago and are a far better experience than this game, if this game wants to pay homage to gothic it should have focused on making similar gameplay and progression.
Drova ist Drova and Gothic ist Gothic.
Drova have no NPC voice actor....
Please tell me where to find the 3rd ring of the Norns, the first in the tree, the second in the skeleton and the last where? ( we do not take into account the ring that can be obtained when creating a character )

Well, this thread is from two months ago, and I was only referencing those rings as an example to make a point about crafting, so I can't even say for sure that I wasn't counting the one available at character creation. If nobody else chimes in soon with a better answer, you might have better luck by starting a new thread to ask that question.
