There's also 8 learning point shrines, each of which gives +3 Learning Points, so that's another 24 Learning Points.
There are a whole bunch of stat increasing plants and, IIRC, 7 Mandragoras (or was it 8?). You need to pay 3 Learning points to be able to brew potions, and each potion gives you +3 to a stat, so this is, essentially, 18 learning points worth of stats (21 from 7 potions, -3 because you need to learn Potion making). Keep in mind though that while there are 7 Mandragoras, there aren't 7 of each kind of plant, so you'd need to mix and match here.
All that said, you don't really need a lot of Strength to use Axes, or any weapon for that matter. Prowess, which is what you need to equip the better weapons, is Str+Dex+Mind, so 80 Str + 20 Mind is the same as 20 Str + 80 mind as far as the game is concerned. Granted, if you want to main the Axe then more Strength is better, but both of my runs were ones where I split Strength and Dex pretty evenly and I never had a lot of problem with damage, mostly because the weapon talents give you a LOT of damage. Level 3 in axes is +50% damage which is basically 25 points of Strength.
Since you're already at 53 Strength and 12 mind, I'd say it might be best to stop putting points in Strength and start pumping Mind if you want to use magic more.
