Potion of Forgetfulness

If I drink the potion, do I lose the bonuses I get from say, a strength potion as well? Do I lose the mining knowledge I learned in the Pit? Or do I keep all that stuff?

My question is, is there a 2nd forgetfulness potion I can get in chapter 2? I used the potion from the Remnants camp and switched weapons and it was a huge mistake. Since I'm doing Iron mode my saves pushed me past the point of no return and now I think I am going to have to start over unless I can find one.

Ede sells one in the ruin raider cave. There are only 2 in the game.
