Definetively a fun build!
- Get Base Focus to 60
- Get Focused Blow for spear
- Get Ring of Blood (Lantern of Lament questline)
- Start each fight with Summon Obsidian Spear (from Drivanius) to get to 100 focus
- Cast Focus Shape to get 100% damage increase and 50% stamina cost reductions
- Just spam spear attacks. Shape spell will last quite long due to Focused Blow.
Currently, I haven't found a stronger build.
You only need the Cestus to deal constant crit hits. Whereas with other weapons, you do need to invest quite a lot of points in DEX to reach at least 50% crit chance. Daggers have the "Surpirse!" talent that gives a 40% crit chance after a dodge.
My point is, weapons, rely in different mechanics, whereas the unarmed hits, only need STR and the Cestus to melt enemies health bars.
But it's always a matter of preference :) for me, there's nothing like smack enemies with my bare hands.
Slower but decent reach, hitting hard enough using the Legendary one sold by the raiders and rounding it up with magic on the side.
Second playthrough, i'm going full on Cestus Monk (Str/Mind only) and while it was a slow start, once you get past a certain amount of Str you start hitting like a truck. Might lose some of it,s efficiency later on ( still act 1 ) but so far i'm having a blast
In my experience this is untrue, its not terrible but bleed doesn't seem to stack and the range is non-existent, but this might be a difference in difficulty
1H Sword + Sling
Shout, Pierce attack, Magic Missile, Blink
Light armor
My Talisman, Ring of Blood, Focus/Melee buff ring, Mind +5 ring
At classic difficulty:
I failed Hardcore when I wandered into a Leshen...
I cleared the map other than Leshen and certain human enemies/draugrs in Act I
I completely cleared the accessible map by Act III.
My fights revolve around dodging and destroying the enemy's stance. Then I unload the bleed damage on them. I have enough focus to pierce immediately. But for a while, I just kept shouting at people... So I guess that is kind of funny.
