When to join a faction *spoilers*

I'd like to get as much out of my playthrough as possible, both with regards to experience and XP. I am still in act 1 and haven't joined a faction yet.

I decided I want to join the Remnants. I already got the invitation to join Nemeton due to finding the lost weapons - what else do I need to do in Nemeton before it gets locked by joining the Remnants?

My best advice: Just play 2 runs and use different fighting styles to make it interesting and choose a different faction for the second run. This way, you will probably get 05% of the games content. Worrying leads to frustration and that's the opposite what a game is supposed to be: fun.

I'm saying this because I also experienced this situation, did all the side quests and then, without thinking to much, joined the Nemetons.
