Quick Good Ending Guide - Spoilers Ahead
Last spoiler warning :)

So to get the good ending you need to do all of the Ruin Raider's quest.
1. Collect 7 bygone shards -> get dull gem key
2. Activate all 7 god shrines -> You can get map from ruin raiders
(side note - you can't get access to the final shrine until chapter 4, west of Remnant camp the road is blocked and doesn't clear until later in the story)
3. 7 shrines glowing = glowing gem key. Head to Drivanus's shrine and get his helmet.

The helmet lets you talk to divinities, needed for CH. 5 final confrontation.

The other prerequisite for the good ending is to do at least 80% side quests/exploration.
Why? Because you need proof of doing the 3 virtues.

1. Harmony
Solving conflicts diplomatically.
Be the hero.
Help the farm north or Nemeton. (quest)
Help the woodcutters. (quest)
Playing tag/hide and seek with the kids. (quest)
Don't back stab people during quests.

2. Courage
Fight all the tough monsters.
Explore the map and fight those red X's when you have good gear.
(harpies, bears, Skull druids, bird raptors, bygone golems)
Complete the Arena and become champion. (quest)

3. Compassion.
Self sacrifice, forgive the wrong doers.
Give the piglet your spark and help them survive. (quest)
Help the bandits that rob you when you go to the silver mines (hewer quest)
Give items away to people when prompted.
Pet all animals you come across.

Assuming you did all this, you will be able to chat with the divinities during the final ending choices.

They will bring up your actions and memories, you will have access to new good ending dialogues.

Hope this helps, good luck!!!

Thank you. Could you share where the chamber of Drivanus is roughly?

East of Remntant camp, follow the path, on the fork with the statue, turn left.

You can actually get to that shrine by doing the entirety of the Bonded questline and getting the Spark in Chapter 1. The path is somewhat hidden but there is a way up there through all the fire.

Ahh, I didn't know. When I went looking for the shrines, it was in chapter 3 when the forest was destroyed. The path was blocked then.

After proving harmony and courage, before the compassion check, there is an option to 'dominate the divinities.' I tried this on a reload, but the game just says you're not strong enough, and you get the bad ending.

Is there another ending here, and I just wasn't... high enough level or something? Just curious if anyone got a different result from this option.

I had a similar option but the Boar god took a knee and the dialogue line said that they were already subjugated and that I could do whatever I wanted. Was that the case for you too or did the dialogue just imply you could "try" and dominate them? I didn't take that option because it didn't seem right.

So the vortex helmet isn't even necessary for the good finale?

It is necessary, otherwise you can't talk to the Divinities

Note you don't need to KILL enemies for Courage (at least, that's how I understand it as the 'skull druids' or Leshen [you'll know who they are] are folks I've never defeated, but they popped up in my ending because I ran and fought them {especially since one of them is near a learning stone just east off the path between the Remnants and the Tavern in the forest})

All shrines can be accessed before the endgame//Act V or the 'point of no return'.
