Am I crazy or was there not 200 silver in the pit?

I was going for the 200 silver achievement, and I got maybe 150 silver at most, after hitting up every single node. I also did every quest down there before leaving, basically, except for the shoddy pickaxe. Did I mess up not buying it?

The pickaxe breaks on first use. I don't think it leads to anything useful.

You could take a page out of their own book and beat up everyone you can for the silver they are carrying. That would easily push you over 200 and probably over 300.

Also I wonder if coming in with your silver from outside counts

You only need to have 100 silver. Check the entrance at MIDNIGHT and you can blackmail them once to let you leave with all you got.

I thought I had to let them take half for the achievement cus im stupid :)

I had 4 prospecting skills, thought there would be tons of silver inside, there was like 20-30 nodes tops, at 3-5 silver a pop.

it doesn't, you also don't give half of your own silver, only loose what you got during quest

where did you get the 4th one? i got 2 from this quest and 1 from a mine where i hat to kill 1 stone ogre thing

There's a discussion on steam detailing all 5 of them, but 4 are part of this quest line, and the 5th is the stone ogre one.

3 of them are inside the pit, and the 4th one is from the guy you get robbed with that walks you to the pit

For that achievement, you have to take the silver from any NPC that has a trigger event. Both guards that are taking silver off of the Hewers, the guy that sleeps inside his private cave, the two Hewers that try to rob you, stealing the silver from every bag and chest. In order to leave without paying the silver fee, you must open Merik's chest located in his shop (at night) read the letter inside, go to the Pit entrance and speak to Merik to trigger a convo. During this convo, don't choose anything related with telling Lavin about their schemes. The guard will let you leave the Pit, free of charge once.
P.S. The guards and robbers, you must fight them, beat them and loot them.
