Killing the Coin Bandits as early as possible
If you've met them, you know who I'm talking about.

I got them at the beginning of chapter 3 using a bunch of spell scrolls, 48 def armor, 96 atk axe. It's pretty easy to get the chumps to clump up at the second ramp down from their camp. Still took 2 firey shout scrolls, 1 thunderstorm scroll, 1 whirling energy scroll, and a root cone on top of 5 vine traps, 2 cluster bombs, and some caltrops. Sadly the armor was obsolete fairly quickly getting it at this point.

Say I wanna kill them in chapter 2 when I'm kind of a chump? Chapter 1 where I'm fully a chump? How would you even the odds before you have access to proper armor/weapons?

You can also try to dodge your way to the chest, take it and run.
Won't work, the chest requires a key (can't be lockpicked), dropped from the "leader" of the group. Specifically the one with the Axe and Nets.

You can separate them and kite them to the Remnant Camp, where NPCs will help you fight. While they all initially aggro at once, they will drop aggro at different times and once they are outside of their camp you can pick them back up one by one. I brought them one at a time to Jola at the gate, 4 of them she automatically attacked, the remaining 2 she ignored until they decided to attack her first (not by accident).

Jola by herself is weaker than any 1 of the bandits, but with the player's help they should go down. If not, you can find somebody else to help you in town. The other guy who occasionally loiters next to Jola is much tougher.

And there you go, no items necessary, can win at level 1. I'd recommend NOT doing it at level 1, personally I waited until I could wield the Partisan (45 prowess), but it is doable.

Is that the area with like 6 bandits where you can loot the bandit armor? Chapter 1 would be tough, but the arena gladiator armor you can get at the start of chapter 2 makes purely physical fights light that super easy. Use some slow healing when you get low and try to stay at 10-20% HP and you can just tank it.

I did it in chapter 1 using an absurd amount of traps and every scroll at my disposal, but it's doable, just get really good at not getting hit. Essentially abuse bleed and/or poison while kiting them around so they don't reset, then hope you don't take a stray hit and die.

I did that in chapter 1. So you need spikey trap, the one that slows them down. Put it on the ramp and get behind the curve. They don't hit you there. And if you spam your attack (I used a swrod), they getting pushed back up. Scrolls also help.
And be wary, spikey trap have a time limit.

To be fair, I was already hitting pretty hard. I had a berserker sword. But still did't get hit. So give it a try.

I spammed poison bombs and the regular bombs I had 10 of each. Then used a 2 blaze scrolls. That killed 4. Then 1v1'd the last 2 that survived since they split up. That armor was really nice for a while. I feel like you get armor upgrades way to quickly in the ending acts though. So its best to get in act 1.

Poison is great for slowing down groups of enemies and the bombs do 200 flat damage. so if you group them up, you can set up a kill box. The main problem is nets. I had misty step but no rune at the time to use it, so nets were just death.

I personally thinks bombs are 100% better than floor traps though. The ability to aim them, no stopping to lay them animation, and they have the same effect and damage.

If you do it right out the gate, Florin's with Jola. Testing it now with 0 equips.

Edit: Sure enough, got it on a fresh character. Florin can 1v1 any of them by himself, dude's a beast.

It's easy die once or twice catching strays on the way to the guards, so save between kills any who attempt this. Stone axe easily breaks posture even if the damage sucks, so you can even help out in the fight.

Luring to building below the camp (Bird man was around here),and attack them at 4 corners of building, not hard ,Ch 1 with best weapon from Remnant shop is doable.

Kiting around corners is a good way. If you run far enough south you can split them up and fight one at a time as well.
