Complex locking help

Hello, I would like to know where can I find complex lockpicking trainer in chapter 1. Is it possible to get without joining one of the factions?

If you finish the remnants mine quest you can learn it from the smith Bardok in the upper city of the remnants camp.

Theres a harder alternative as well. West of the remnants camp is a small lake, theres a hidden cave. Walk east from the entrance til you see friendly NPCS. Frithjof is the one to teach you for 80 gold.

West of the remnants camp is some sort of weird fire, I can't go there. Do you mean southwest? The lvl 2 spear teacher?

The weird fire is the right direction, but a bit too far. Follow the remnants camp wall up. Well, its rather a pond than a lake what you are looking for. Theres a cave entrance. You should be able to look for it inside the remnants camp even.
