average over 500 FPS but still stuttering

I only look at games with 50000 fps. Doesn't matter how many fps the human eyeball can process, I need the frames beamed directly into my brain! Get outta here with your measly 500.

Have you tried syncing the framerate or locking it rather than leaving it unlocked?

yes tried rivatuner and vsync, even 60 fps. these framedrop aren't a big deal and only occasional but still strange on a pixelart 2d game

When do these framedrops appear? Periodically or just at certian positions? Or after doing certain things? If they appear when you run around in the world, do they also appear when you stand still?

I only get a brief freeze when the game auto saves, its very quick and doesnt impact anything since im usually running aroun when that happens, other than that its running smoothly.

Unfortunately, these frame drops also appear in my game. I haven't noticed these frame drops in combat yet. They appear rather irregularly when running through the map.

It seems as if the map is reloading in some places and therefore there is a short stutter. I've also had the feeling when there are too many objects/monsters at the same time.

I play with VSync off, fullscreen mode, framerate limit to 120 fps on 1440p. I have also set the CPU priority to High. Unfortunately without success.

only when running around the world, a bit like traversal stuttering in unreal engine games

For me the framedrops stopped when I locked the game to 60fps, seems to get worse the higher the fps.
