Finding Tristan - Act 2

I am at the part where i have to go up to his room in the inn and look for stuff. However i seem to have already looted said stuff and its not triggering the followup or am i missing something?

Do you have a additional "special" map in the map menu? If so, the main quest just says you have to reach a specific location. If so, just progress through the map.

I did the same thing, looted the room in act 1 and now the quest log of the main quest does not adress that I already have the map. It says I should investigate the room. But yes - I have the map. But did not follow it's path yet.
