Salvage the Bady vs Gra fight

hey hey,

at first i wasn't sure if i wanted to do this quest an screw Bady over, so i got him his axe sharpened and brought it back to him.
After that i did some other things to get more information and to make up my mind, and finally decided i would like to have Gra win the fight.

So i did the letterthingie to discourage him, gave him mead, gave him tainted food and gave Gra his axe back.
But in the end it seems that Bady is always winning the fight.
The first time it was insanely close and Gra hit Bady multiple times with him having basically no health left but wasn't able to finish him off (?).

So, is there something else i can do to swing the fight in Gra's favor or did i ultimatively locked myself out of this option by sharpening the axe?

You need to get the axe without letting it sharpen. Then Gra will will the fight. Ester will tell you when Gra has a good chance at beating Bady. So everything ist completed.

so you're saying having Gra win is only doable when everything is manipulated in his favor?

that's kind of a bummer =(

Yeah, pretty disappointing. I thought Gra at least got a chance to win, but even bringing down Bady's health before the fight with traps just lead to Gra hitting an invincible 1 hp Bady in the arena, then lose.

I think I didn't wanna poison Bady's food, and was on the fence of rigging the fight. But I assumed Snaga, blunt axe, itchy armour, drunkeness and literally banging the dude's girlfriend to tell him about it would at least give Gra a fighting chance. But no, you need all of the cheating, so many hours later I had no choice but watch Gra lose.

Bady is the master though, he shows up on a waterfall later on, up north, you have
to fight the guy so he can train you later, and oh boy is a tough fight, i had to use all my traps and prepare the terrain before the start hehehe, that after getting my as-s handed to me a couple of times.

I guess he's stronger later on then, as I beat him up before the arena fight against Gra in hopes that might increase Gra's chances (it didn't, the fight isn't affected by anything). Very nice bow!

I got Gra to win and did everything I could, I even bet 500 gold 🫡

Gra won on my game with his axe back, the girl slept with, and a beer. I did not taint his food or keep his axe dull. However the comments from the fighters after indicated that Gra lost, even though I won the bet.

I had the axe dulled and poisoned food, also gave back snaga, no girl talk, no beer

Besides the blunt axe you need Ester to tamper with the food, if you tamper the food yourself it wont work as well.

Besides those 2 requirements and giving Snaga back to Gra i never had the need to blackmail Bady.

I see, so you don't need all requirements fulfilled, but having Ester tamper with the food is essential. The only part I hadn't done, figures.

Well, I could still earn a mighty 75 coins by betting 500 on Bady, lol.

He should be standing near the arena, same place as always. If he's not there, wait until the morning.

did all except i gave sharpened axe and didnt give booze. Gra won. After doin some stuff talking with ester kinda updates quest status maybe try that. And make sure you didnt remove itching powder from his armour rack

Gra won the battle in my game, but i did a couple extra things you didn't mention, put the itching powder in his armor, and also convinced him his girl had been cheating, when he believe me I then told him it was a lie but i dont know if that affected the fight I know the itching powder did. But unlike what you did I told the blacksmith Bady wanted his blade dull for more of a challenge./spoiler]
