Stuck in the Pit

I did all the quests except going into the deep mines. My left options are fighting with Murtagh or Almar. I am way to week for both of them. Is there any other option?

Have you helped the cook make stew? That allows you to pacify Murtagh if you choose the right dialog options, IIRC.

Yes, I did that. But maybe I choose the wrong dialog.

same problem here. made Murtagh aggro, then solved the stew quest. now he attacks me on sight. But I am only level 6 and have a STR 20 sword. I use Q on him to make him bleed and heal me, but he is too strong.

Put Crows Feet on the ground, aggro them, kite them till they bleed out, dont go weapon stance to outrun them.

Both the guards in the Pit are possible to beat with minimal gear/no items. You just have to keep trying. I recommend a spear though.

just take a sword and hit 1 time then run away a little bit and wait until he comes close, hit again (after the steps, and after the rock nose), to this until you can use ur ability, then run again and repeat, takes 5 min but then is down.
