Also, while it makes sense that individual ore veins don't regenerate, it should also be possible to go into the Pit again to find more ore.
However you twist or design it, things won't make sense. What are all the other miners doing when there's no ore left? ;)
Regrowable plants or infinite ore veines = inifinite income = buy all
And skills like prospecting would become totally irrelevant, too. As it would be a huge graphical effort to implement new veines constantly.
And if you go for roleplay and atmo? Just imagine that the other miners search for new veines.
Thanks, I did, but I don't think it will be much help. As I spent at least 15 minutes doing other stuff afterwards :D but appreciate if you have a look-see.
Obviously regenerating stuff would be a challenge to balance, but with stuff regrowing after 2 or even 3 or 4 ingame weeks, it wouldn't actually make this much of a difference. I would expect most playthroughs to last not more than 4 ingame weeks.
Obviously some people would cheese the system by sleeping constantly, but that would be a very small minority, and since it's a purely single-player game, I don't really see the issue.
I'm also sour that I only got like a tiny bit of silver from the Pit, since I failed hard at the minigame, and that one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ took 10 silver from me and the other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ charged me 10 for sleeping in that bed. So when I left I still had like 6 silver...
If I would have known stuff doesn't regrow I would have probably loaded a savegame. Anyway...
Then I guess I gotta be very conservative in what tools I craft and use if the materials are finite. Things like nets, traps, throwing knives ect. I use those a lot. And also now I know not to sell any mats I dont use.
havent played with a bow yet, but didnt have any sort of ammo problems with slingshot.
theres a trinket which grants you 33% chance of not using ammo on a shot and focus skills dont use ammo, they are free use so to speak.
in addition, you can find plenty of ammo in the world, buy it from merchants and reloot it from slain mobs.
i crafted nearly 200 silver slingshot ammo and in the end i probably used 20 to 30 of them cuz of free skill use and regaining it from mobs.
If they wanted you to have infinite ammo, there would be no ammo count in the first place.
