[Request/Minor Spoilers] Bearskin for Gilwar

[Big Mistake]

Gilwar in Nemeton asks for a bearskin. I remember encountering a bear, so I go find it and spend all my resources killing it. I then go to grind the learning points so I can skin it and make the old man happy. Seems Gilwar is only willing to accept one bearskin, and it's not the one I just put like two hours into getting.


I understand the game is released in 1.0, you're supposed to get the skin from the vendor, and things like this may not change, but if it's on the table it'd be nice to be able to give Gilwar a bearskin you get for yourself and get a little dialogue or something for the effort.

I got one skin from a bear and one from the vendor. He won't talk to me about any of those.

It's the breadknife. I'd forgotten about that part of the quest, that's likely what we're missing.

There are several in chapter 2, but the first bear you can potentially find is in a cave near the Leshi (probably spelling that wrong) south from the remnant camp/northeast from the ripper tavern.

You could also steal the bearskin of the merchant's table when he goes to sleep (inspect first)

Shopkeeper who sells weapons in Nemeton should have them, they're the cheapest daggers on sale IIRC

I have the items, but the old man does not offer the dialog option. I acquired the bearskin before the quest & told Femke I would consider buying a sheep skin, then I talked to Enya who told me Femke has the bearskin. Old man still has no words for my heist.

I have just completed the quest, and it works fine. Are you sure you have all the items that the old man requires? I don't remember what they all are, but you need several of them to do the task.
