Where can i meet Levin for the first time?

Edit: oh nvm i found him. he's by the pit. some dude who used to be a hewer took me there. i was trying to get bady to fight, hve to retrieve his sword first from bardok. but bardok is at upper level. in order to get to upper level i have to get levin's approval. but when i finally talked to levin, he just told me to go work in the mine or piss off. what do i do from there? lol
