Praise for the game and also looking for Complex Lock training and Armor Merchant in Remnant Camp

This is a great game, I'm very much enjoying it. It reminds me a lot of Divine/Beyond Divinity and a handful of other games from the same era, as well as (as everyone has pointed out) Gothic and similar titles.

Anyway, has anyone found a trainer for Complex Locks? I found one in the Remnant Camp but I have no idea where to train it up; from the location of the locked chest it seems to imply that the trainer should be found pretty early.

Also, I can't seem to find any Armor for sale in the Remnant Camp, despite the woodcutter leader telling me specifically I should be able to buy armor there. This isn't a huge issue because I stole his clothes but, yknow, woodcutter garb isn't protecting me much from rippers.

Great game, first in a long time I've spent five straight hours on, and I see myself playing for the next five hours as well. I especially appreciate the attention to detail (like when the woodcutter guy got mad because I was wearing his clothes when I talked to him). All the quests have been meaningful and it's kinda funny how an indie game like this can totally put to shame AAA titles. I will say that the translation (presuming the game is German?) is imperfect, but not enough to detract from the experience and given the setting a little goofy tensing/predicates is kind of appropriate.

This game came out of nowhere for me and I am very glad to have found it. I thought Deathtrash was going to be the next ARPG I put some time into and I am glad to be wrong.

Nice. So far I still haven't found armor for sale but you seem to get new armor by joining various groups, I dunno.

I also found complex lock training in the remnant camp, with the blacksmith in the upper section (you need to complete the Pit quest first to get there). Still looking for armor.

I found a leather armor in a buried treasure in the woods in the inn area, not too far of the bear cave.
In Nemeton again there is a merchant who wants to sell you one for 750. Useless if you find the treasure.

Thanks, I am actually approaching the inn right now. The only armor I've received has been the Woodcutters Clothes and the Hewer outfit from the Pit, not sure if I missed something, but I haven't gotten to Nemeton yet. Not sure if I'll be able to afford 750 gp but maybe if I sell some stuff.

You should go look in the woods south east of the inn wherabouts. Free armor.

Got another one! Free armor I mean. When you do the quests for the innkeeper (2) the ripper hunt and the sheep, when you turn in the quests he gives you a leather armor for free.

I got sidetracked by the stupid sheep. Interestingly, though, he didn't give me any armor. Maybe because I did the ripper hunt on my way to the inn and didn't get it as a quest from him? Kinda sucks but whatever. Ima find that frickin armor.

Ok found it. You go south from the camp of the huntress who asks you to hunt with her (red birds) you follow the ledge south until you can enter the woods. Then you take on your right.
The chest should be here.
Don't know if I express myself well enough.

On the map the spot is slightly north east of the inn at the edge of the woods. Frontier of the moor and the woods.

Nice, thank you, I ended up in a cave surrounded by frogs and knew that wasn't it. then I found a buried chest in the heath surrounded by snakes and that wasnt it either. I do enjoy the search though, AAA games could learn something from the enjoyable exploration/sense of discovery in this game.

I made the mistake of going to the bear cave, that whole area is a deathtrap at my level and gear lol. I'm going to follow your directions more carefully, hopefully that armor will help negate the massive damage the boars are doing, to say nothing of the bear and the other horrible ♥♥♥♥ in those woods.

I am now level 12 almost as much dex for crits than str and I begin to manage the boars. They were such a pain. I'm friggin afraid to go in the bear cave... But the game is a blast. So many nooks and crannys.
I have a very hard time to decide which faction to join.
