Light Armor vs Heavy Armor?

Just about to join a faction and they're offering me either light or heavy armor. I use a spear with no offhand, so I have quite a bit of stamina regen and I'm curious if its better to lean into that and just be always dodging in light armor, or use it to offset the drawback of no stamina cost reduction on heavy armor?

Added possiblity to buy faction armors from the blacksmith from each faction

thats copied from the big patch log, so you can test both with ease. i played spear with light armor and had a nice time dodging around and poking stuff.

Yeah I just got my hands on an amulet that gives me a 50% damage buff on my next attack after dodging. That + the stamina regen from spear + the cost reduction from light armor is a super fun combo lol.

i paired your combo with a decent amount of crit chance and that bleed enhancing amulet you get early on in the game (forgot the name, sorry), so i could poke mobs from a safe enough distance and still did a nice amount of dmg from bleed and poison, if i had to reposition myself.
