Best weapon for magic build?

So far I found daggers okish since right click dmg depends on focus

Fists with Thorny Cestus (Every unarmed hit is a critical) and a shield is the strongest choice. In this way you save a lot of skill points to invest in stats. Put about 40-50 points in Str and the rest in Mind and Focus.

Feels like I should crit once with dagger right click and max focus and then switch to fists to keep up bleed

If you rely entirely on fists, you don't need to waste any points on daggers. This way you can reach 100 Focus in the endgame. Make sure you get Thorny Cestus as quickly as possible.

i wouldnt give any point to weapon skills and minimum to dex and str until find a mind trainer but thats pretty late also glyph stone. if you mean hybrid as magic build spear is pretty good fast and long reach also giving really high amount of focus with 3rd upgrade. dagger focus gain seems better but idk very short reach.

Just looked for its name actually it is rune stone my mistake. It is given to you when you go through in main story which is use to cast spells without spell scrolls for a higher amount of focus like in magic missile 15 for scroll 45 for rune.
