Homeless Children

I seem to be suffering from alot of homeless children and seemingly no option for taking care of them (also it appears that if you have a step-parent, and your bio-parent dies, the step kicks you out, which seems harsh). Surely adoption or an orphanage should be an option?

Note - I got an event where a couple adopted one child but I've seen a half dozen grow to adulthood by themselves so clearly this isn't a dependable option.

Yeah so far this has been the oddest part of the game. What's the logic of children becoming homeless on the death of their parents? The house isn't even occupied by anyone. It just sits empty while the children live in the woods?

I agree. :( The game should let us drag orphaned children into another couple’s empty child spaces.

Agree to all of the above. I currently have an entire family of three kids that are homeless, the youngest is one, I don't understand why they can't live together.

Unfortunately, this has been an issue since the demo came out. I hope the dev sees this and adds a new building in to address this.

Mine seemed to get adopted automatically without my input. Not sure if that's a glitch. Both parents died and the child got auto-added to an unrelated couple with an available child slot.

Otherwise an "orphanage" building would be nice.

I had this issue too! Both parents died, so their three kids were homeless. Thankfully they survived to adulthood, but it would be a nice option to add an orphanage or let childless couples adopt!
