I was surprised they called it "Ryona" because the early ones weren't. It's not my definition of Guro/Ryona anyway. It was pretty mild. Some slightly racy set pieces
The worst executions are caused when you attack fellow towns people and go on a rampage. Aside from that there's dead space level gore when you are killed by heavy magic attacks and by wild animals. IDK if any of the enemies do anything particularly gorey (i.e execution scene) if they knock your character out.
I know it's not that genre, but this does seem like it would've been a good setup for an H game. Get defeated > H scene > escape attempt, repeat, maybe with some kind of stat change each time. And it looks like it probably plays better than a lot of other titles in that genre. Oh well...
And not for the "adult" content.
At max difficulty it's actually fun, and the classes have a nice variety.
