So what happens to players who have bought and paid for n-game content like me???

It is a live service game which means you must be connected to its servers. Servers shut down, no more game. All purchases lost. This is how it works for all live service games, and the hundreds of similar shutdowns before this.

The only good news is dive offline will be released as a separate game, and you can enjoy that without servers, but it will require purchase like any other singleplayer game.

You start all over in offline version which will be locked behind a paywall

Once this game dies you won't be able to log in anymore and you can't transfer your data over.

except that the new game is not a gatcha. it is a one time purchase. event and collabs will be removed according to the stream that announced it, so the roster will probably be limited only to cannon characters.

The trailer shows off a wide variety of characters from across the metaseries (as in it still includes non-X Mega Man characters- you can see a bunch of them in the trailer), but crossover characters from outside of the Mega Man metaseries are not going to be included.

but since it's gonna be locked behind a pay wall I probably won't bother buying it. Since capcom want to make 1 last dollar on this game.

The Data will be going down with the Servers and the Offline Re-Release will be a Buy-to-Play, and Crossover Characters will be Lost Forever too

When you brought? If you brought like on the second year while haved the monster hunter crossovers and lasted until today well maybe not so much of a waste I kinda can tell wastes spend a while on other games but couldnt sticked around for long think of utilites like light bulb they will go dark eventually

...after watching thier video for the game and it being on steam I dont honestly mind so much..though wonder if there will be any plans for coop play since had the missions for it? ...I am happy afterall that its "offline" version instead of simply gone

You'd only have to buy the game itself. The trailer makes it pretty clear that you unlock character memories by spending element metals that drop from stage completion, so the only investment you'd need to make to get everything back is time spent. The one exception is the collab characters, which won't be in the game at launch and there's no confirmation whether they will be DLC down the line or not.
