Hello Puppets in VR was an amazingly fun, if fairly short, experience. The interaction with your companion was really cool and something no other VR game seems to have done like that.
I was pretty excited when I saw "Hello Puppets" pop up in my discovery queue, but I'm afraid it looks like I'll be passing on this one.
I played the first one quite a bit, and even took a stab at speedrunning it. Trying to find glitches and skips to speed up my runs. In the end, all I managed to find for skips was one spot I could phase through the wall to pull a lever in the locker room area. (which I didn't take advantage of)The only other real thing I found was clipping out of bounds a bit at the start so you didn't need to wait for the bridge to load in. Oh yea... and lunges... lots and lots of lunges. Got a proper workout when trying to speedrun this game lol.
There was no speedrunning community for this game back then, and I never bothered to make one, so to this day my time of 30:25 is still the unofficial speedrun time for the game lol.
Anyway... it was a shame that this one didn't get the VR treatment and has no plans for it. VR is what made the original extremely scary for me the first time around. I was always hoping for DLC to expand the lore of the other characters but instead, we got this game to basically do that for us. (I think anyway. I haven't actually gotten to play it yet. Can't afford it at the moment sadly) Too bad that it won't scratch that itch for those of us that were left wanting more in the VR realm for this series.
Ok - delete from my wishlist now. Sad.
Part 1 was one of the best VR Game IMHO.
