Grandork's Guide to a Good Start.

I've seen some people struggling to get really started into the mid/late game of Buriedbornes 2. As such, I've decided to make this guide to make it as easily as possible to reach it.

Step 1: Powerful Race and Class

The most powerful Race for Early game, by far, is Elf. And it's not even close.

Elf's Racial makes it so Evasion = Avoid Ailments. She also comes with Genius and Boundary. Genius doubles the power of all skills that have no runes, while Boundary makes you immune to physical/magical damage after you evade (excluding Critical).

Because early game won't really allow you to reach 5 Rune Slots with Good Runes, Genius is basically OP.

To get Elf, you must join Sworn Solitary Society and level Living Quarters Improvement to 5. You should also level Search for Survivors to 2, this will enable you to use Line of Defense Recipes, which include Evasion crafting, thus, allowing you to reach 150% Evasion easily.

Livelihood Support also gives you Entangling Roots, which is one of the best summoning spells in the game. Minion Growth + Spirit Wolf = Everything Dies. If the opponent has Recall or Dispel, your Entangling Roots DoT should deal with him.

Elf + Summons should get you easily through the very start. Eventually you will unlock Executioner (don't remember what map it is). Executioner is the best class to start with, since it allows you to easily kill all elites.

Step 2: Recipes

As mentioned before, you will want Line of Defense for Evasion. You will also want Library Access (Necromancy Laboratory) for - Consumption. You will want The Masses (Warriors of Honor) for Thrust Skill.

For some extra: Errand Boys (Darkmoon Company) for Acrobatic and Quick Draw. Moneymaking Scheme (Darkmoon Company) for Parts Growth (allows for you to quickly get your Parts up and running) and Duplicate Equipment.

If you Duplicate your Item and then Strengthen (Line of Defense) it, it will update to your level. Total cost is 150 Soul Stones.

Honorable Mention: Division Tactics (Warriors of Honor) gives Remove Equipment Abilities, making crafting easier.

Step 3: Background

Commoner is fine for the start, since it gives more events.

Step 4: Events

An important part of Buriedbornes is knowing what events to do and what not to do. In Buriedbornes 2, you don't have that choice. You need to choose between two outcomes, which give random rewards. These are the choices you should choose for the most common ones:

Exhausted Woman: Kill (+3 Mods)

Coffin: Survey (Nothing/+2 Mods/Treasure Box 4*)

Path: Push (+3 Mods/Something)

Village: Survey It (+3 Mods/Ancient Torturer)

Rocks: Avoid (+3 Mods/Take Damage)

Caves: Survey It (+3 Mods/Snake)

Step 5: Skills

For non Executioner, just use Entangling Roots with Minion Growth.

For Executioner, Thrust x2, Back Stab x2, Something.

There are many good builds, this one is just the fastest to reach late game, lol.

What are some rune slots you recommend getting for early-mid elf wolf summoner? Like what actually makes the wolf stronger besides stacking evade and dex?

How do you unlock the "Errand Boys. I can't seem to find it anywhere.

If y'all are curious, no, Elf/Executioner isn't slightly meta anymore and it's something that died in 1.1.0 the moment Nussy provided us with better ways to remove HP stacks while also increasing the damage the enemy takes on any job while also nerfing executioner without even having to make a change on the job itself. This guide is very well outdated, the guy that made it even says he hasn't played the game recently

If y'all want better information, try discord. There's a link to the official buriedbornes discord in-game, all you have to do is look at the world map and find a bird head that says "Latest Information", go to Links section and click at Official Discord Server but if you don't wanna do this, you're just losing things like documentation, people that have a thousand hours of experience, beta users and people that are always available to give you some tips

btw, summons have never been that good even back in the day since it takes 1 skill to get rid of them or 1 rune or 1 ability

this guide has been outdated and very misleading for quite a while now and having to correct players about something they saw online released over a year ago is a huge pain so please, either update this or (I don't know if possible) edit the title to say it's outdated
