How to use demons?

I'm a Demonologist and have crafted a number of minor demons. I don't know how to use them. Nothing I do seems to use the demons or add them to a unit. What am I missing? The crafting description says to right click to add a demon to the quick slot but I have no idea where to find the quick slot - and otherwise right click seems to do nothing. Are they only useful in Amalgamation? If so, how do you use the resulting greater demon?
I should add that the tutorial items have not added anything on how to use the new DLC.

You seem to have missed (or not read) one of the tutorial messages telling you how Lesser/Greater Demons get slotted into units with Mind Slots.

When you open up the detailed screen for any unit, there is now a new element in the top-middle of their display (the left side of the screen). This is close to where Glyphs live.

For non-Cultists, you need to mind-break the unit (click the lock and use an appropriate ingredient) and then you can semi-permanently slot a demon. Demons can be removed, but that will kill the unit unless the unit has a Demon Slot (different from a Mind Slot).

Thanks. I had just puzzled it out. I wondered what a summoning circle did - so moved someone there and was able to put a demon in their mind slot. I still have no idea what a "quick slot" is (unless it really means mind slot.

Right clicking in the crafting menu is a universal way to move an ingredient to the next open crafting slot.
