May play one more time fully and deciding who I should fight. Impossible difficulty etc

Depends on you strating force, Uram and Hokan are quite strong if you show up with the wrong forces. Depends on your tools.

As above, it all depends what is your army composition. Demon guy is really pain in ass tho'. Gor seems to be the weakest.

Bump since we got this new dlc

Uram is still the strongest but also the best as he can spawn a “demon lord” that has a extremely op item

Play with "never attack main mage tower" conduct IMHO if you want a challenge.

Haven't played against all of them yet, but imo Undergast is probably the biggest pain because of all the spectres and medusas which are hard to counter. Hokan and Raith are imo quite easy just because they rely entirely on undead, so if you can get your hands on white damage or tons of sacred water, their scary hordes just melt.

But where to get sacred water? I remember I've bratem Hokan with white magic units as it was imposaible to get sacred water anywhere

Medusas are affected by sacred water too, I captured towers with scouts as alchemist.

If you're playing alchemist, you can basically make it by tons later on, and I think it can be purchased here and there. Some apprentices also get a level up option of "throw sacred water" as a permanent skill.

Ah true, but phantoms tend to be a massive pain in the ass to deal with. Also his focus-decreasing aura makes this even worse (as spells are the best counter to them usually).

Phantom Warriors are affected by sacred water too. It affects all fantastic creatures and undead as far as I recall. Basically I craft only sacred water late game and spam it with each action of each unit during siege. Mages with animals are the worst opponents for alchemist, I still recall those spiders.

I prefer to start the game with 2 pages of white magic (or 1 page if I'm a necromancer). I enchant all units for light damage, so all opponents of the "undead" type are instantly killed and dark magicians correspondingly. The worst opponents with this strategy are Yuri, Undergast and
And Anna. The biggest problem I had was Undergast because of the jellyfish in his squad.

If we talk about the list of the most problematic events that are caused by magicians: this is From the Red with the challenge of a huge number of units to your tower (depends on the difficulty level and maybe it was fixed) and Rohan Tahir, who even under normal conditions arranges a weekly robbery for 10 gold (when playing on impossible difficulty, the last thing you want is to give away gold)

P.S: my experience of the game is largely determined by the hours played before the release of the DLC.

since im basically done with the game for now heres some info:

uram and toren (or whatever hes called) are the best circle mages for event spawning...

uram-

moving in the overworld = his circle spell page triggering

start of the turn event = dude will summon a "demon lord"... kill the demon lord and you get possibly the most op item in the game >.> fully maxed its 100 percent elemental death white physical resist >.> every turn theres a chance for its weakness to change to 1 of the 4 above but its only -100 res so fully maxed it negates that while adding the other damage types as immune to you >.>..... now i dont think i need to say how/etc that can make you pretty much immortal.. also has a quest that grants you a demon... before dlc it was amazing... now? eh.

toren- (now this is absolutely disgusting)

moving in the overworld-
has 2 events that spawn stables... 1 event spawns just 1 and the other spawns 4 spread across a decent distance... repeatable as well.
likewise his spellpage quest triggers while moving in the overworld however the difference is (from the other mages ive tested) he will give different spell page tier/types randomly instead of a fixed school... rng/savescum/etc = guaranteed spellpage of your choice. PLUS currently the event is working in a way that if you attack the soldiers first and then exit the event instead of doing the second battle to continue the quest the first battle can be completed over and over... unlimited xp and slave units

some other info i found:

isgrimm can teach you instant castle

daith can spawn tombs on the map... wonder if you could get that to happen in a demon area >.> use graverobber rune when such a place is in a demon area = potential spellpage reward

urgast can spawn libraries

ilana can shift rep towards you positive/negative for circle mages and cities
