I figured the wishing well would spawn multiple times, I only seen it spawn once over a course of a few reruns… which I find odd considering there’s a bunch of events stemming from it I hear.
Which quest is “a test of courage” again? Hard to keep track lol. My only thoughts on the castle but then would be perhaps one of the first ruins you encounter? I savescum and check every possible outcome before I proceed so I don’t recall that bit.
However it’s reallly odd if this is a spawned quest that you can’t reliably trigger as spell pages are the rarest of the rare, having the ability to add one more then you wouldn’t in a prev playthrough can be game changing.
I give a pass on Well dwarf/mushroom boy as they solo spells… and that they trigger reliably. Surprised I haven’t seen this quest yet. (Imagine if we had a quest log)
Test of courage is found from a location on the map. You get directed to another location with an evil statue that's mind controlling a group of people. You have a couple of ways to resolve it. Oddly there seems to be no difference between returning the item to the statue and destroying it.
Aside from interrupts, they all spawn at game creation. From the devs perspective this is probably to mix the game up instead of being a formulaic click through once you are experienced.
You say that, but the two examples you just said are game changers to where I argue knowing how to get these quests IMPROVES the game, esp the easy Adam.
Like real talk: I could go on a long rant on why I’m so gung-ho for getting lots of spell pages, the major reason is rng research and that I’m convinced the game softlocks research spells to where even if you are experienced player, you wouldn’t realize the spell you really wanna unlock can’t be touched until you force it (even rerolling the seed doesn’t help)
In the end I’m convinced more people are like me who only wants to play through this game once and get every little bit of stuff they can… due to how they made this game tho it’s not really possible… to where I feel insulted the game doesn’t respect my time.
There doesn’t need to be more “replay ability via randomizing very minor/potential game changers”
Now off topic but I have played a game to death that has shown that you can enjoy a game with there being over 5000 events, and that you can to a degree trigger certain events if you wish.
Old world is the name of the game btw
This game doesn’t have that.
So the quest appears from your tower at the start of your turn, just triggered for me. So it must appear in every game I reckon just like world events
The letter goes in the well. But idk what happens if you used the well and closed it out before now.
“The well”? Aka the wishing well event where you throw money in?
As for the quest name it didn’t look like it had a name, just some dialogue occurs and then the location spawns where you can get the letter
The place that was spawned was called “unsunken ruin”
One thing I did find odd tho was I could not for the life of me find the letter in my inventory
All this spawned near connach, statue was holding the letter, if opened then blue flames would appear and burn the letter.
Yeah I didn’t choose to open the letter, so it should have been in my inventory but I could not for the life of me see it
Re downloading the game, do you want my save file for when I got the quest and all that?
