Can Fantastic Creatures gain levels
Can these creatures gain levels like mortal creatures? I managed to bind summon on one of them but nothing else. Thanks all!

No, they gain no XP at all.

No. They are extra powerful to begin with though. And you can always use Runes(hint).

Ah great thanks! so it's better to hire a mortal tier III follower instead aye. At least 1 that can go up levels and get new skills.

Hmmm... that's an idea. Just that I'm short on those hahaha. Not an artificier damn. Ok, time to hunt for runes!

Yup it's a sad fantastis unit couldn't get level.
I'll prefer they could, even if they need lot more exp for it ( and spell don't work).

Fantastic creatures still can be fantastic sometimes :)
I started with Phantom Warrior and it never died because I gave it "Corrupted Glyph: Vampire - Grants: Defy Death (Revives at end of battle), Grants: No Regeneration" and "Vampire IV - Grants: Greater Life Leech (Regains Health equal to 100% of Melee damage dealt)". Healing was not a problem because of hero who passively heals everyone every turn for 15 HP and "double healing" trait on shaman. It is 90 HP unit with 50% resists to physical/elemental, high armor/morale and immunity to fear which heals 30 HP per combat turn and even if it dies because vampirism does not work on non-mortals, I still win the fight and the unit heals back to full HP during 3 combat turns in next fight. No XP didn't hurt, other units were getting extra XP because of that.

Wait, XP is shared? So, if I had 4 xp creatures + fantastic @ 100 xp reward, that is 25 xp / unit? But if I replace 2 xp creatures with 2 fantastics, that's now 50 xp / unit?

With that said, a lot depends on circumstances as well.

Something like that. Even fully leveled units still take xp shares.

Yep, just put an hero/apprentice with 5 fantastic units is turbo lv for that unit.

Huh, this is even another + for Enchantment. Does it really need more, lol?

thanks for the info. got my hands on a couple of phantom warriors and they are EXCELLENT! almost impossible to kill. i don't have level IV glyphs yet but i did put in serrated blades and vampire and they are working well for me. think i'm like a little way through the game so can't wait to see what's in store!

Welcome ;)
Note they are immune to burning so if you have a glyphe which makes unit burn as downside, phantom warriors are very good targets here.
