No need to wait for localization.
I have something to say to all the countries whose languages ​​are not supported by this game. Localization is unnecessary if you use XUnity.AutoTranslator and DeepL. 98% of the text in the game is translated correctly, so there is no problem with gameplay.

I succeeded in this in Japanese, perhaps the same method works for other languages ​​as well. No localization is required for this game.

The quality of the translation depends on the Translators tool you use. DeepL has better quality than Google for my language.

There are various ways to install. I'm using MelonLoader. Search for "XUnity.AutoTranslator" in your language to find detailed instructions.

This procedure is common to all Unity games. Procedures from other games often work here as well. Find someone who provides information in your language.

But you have to wait several seconds every time.
The game is already a bit too slow (slow loading screens, slow M key, slow navigation on the global map etc.), this way it will feel like a slog.

I wonder if it's easy to create fan-made translation since Unity files are decompileable.
Quite a lot of indie games or huge mods got fan-made translations, like e.g. Battle Brothers that have very limited language support.
Only the first translation is delayed. All translation results are saved in text file and you can edit it freely. No delay in loading from text. I won't stop anyone who wants to wait for official localization. At least this way I could enjoy the game in my own language. That's all I want to say.

Serious question though, are there people who use Steam / play these games and don't understand English? I'm not talking about being fluent, but enough to be able to play?...

Yes, I think it supports all languages which are supported by google translator and other similar services.

The game has lots of text so it really requires fluent English to not spend too much time on reading. I use this translator too.

"This is done by either specifying OverrideFont or OverrideFontTextMeshPro in the config."
I mean, in the game there are these squares, in the translation it's ok and the characters for ps, ą, ź are ok, in the game they appear as squares.

I think you need to set OverrideFont and/or OverrideFontTextMeshPro to path to any Polish font in your Windows.

This is a question to avoid rights-related troubles.

Using the above tool(XUnity.AutoTranslator) will generate a text file for translation. After I edits this file, can I publish it online(Internet)? do you allow it?
