ok i bumbed this because the topic is comming up again.....yeah im pretty sure shes best, but the demon boy is a close 2nd......yeah some one wanted to know can i refuse till i get the one i want and the answer is yes

I got the dwarf from an inn. He has a nuke that always causes bleeding and almost certainly causes the enemies to get demoralized so my mentalist can take over their control. Haven't had any other hero

The problem with the Dwarf (Lore Grimm, I think) is that his main attack is a Crossbow, meaning he has to reload to fire... And he doesn't get that many support skills to use with those spare action points. So that makes him one of the worse (if not the worst) heroes.

The ex-purity Paladin for me. She gets an ability that applies blind to all enemies in a three hex radius. Charge her into the middle of the foe, laugh at their puny 2 damage attacks.

The Bard Dwarf has a pretty handy Regen spell that does a large AOE +15 Heal per Turn heal at start of each turn and is a toggleable AoE that costs no focus....so that's cool.

I just tried her, she is Lystra, yeah she didnt work for me, her quest line sucked and she came with no weapons or armor

hmmm if the samee dwarf with the crossbow that AoE heal makes up for it. still the raw power of the Demon or Elynn is hard to pass up

it isn't she is a cavalry melee with a drink ability.

lystra is the purity knight.......Elyn is the shyken warrior (all that spellforce lore junk)

Lystra may be as good, once her quest line is finished, but if you want a good hero to rush one of the circle mages shes not it

Elynn ......after just one part of the quest, gets her hammer, and the hammer is OP plus 5 i think.....Philo the demon boy, can turn demon in combat after only 2 parts of his quest, that and with 1 more tier 3 you can probably early rush 1 circle mage

The demon one is hillarious. I gave him the rune that prevents all status effects... and well turning into a demon is a status effect apparently.

It's her blinding skill. It nerfs all damage, irrespective of whether it's coming from an attack or an ability. Apparently even if you're an eyeless skeleton calling the power of the inferno to randomly strike down your enemies you can still be affected by the sun illuminating your eye sockets. Being able to hit the entire stack with it for three turns turns most fights into a joke, even against the mages; it's basically three rounds where the enemy can barely hurt you.

Philo the demon boy, can turn demon in combat after only 2 parts of his quest, that and with 1 more tier 3 you can probably early rush 1 circle mage

It's his free action smoke bomb that makes him great. The demon not so much.

My Lytra got the command skill on level up, which let her send my alchemists on a holy grenade spam >.<

Ok only played the campaign on easy, but that one alchemists pretty much wiped out three off the mage towers in a turn.

which 3 mages? with good units, mage towers are pretty easy, only Red puts up the biggest fight with his 3 self rez hell hounds, sometimes only 1, or 2 but they are tough.

Your alchemist was a hired unit from a town?.....or a apprentice?

Two of the undead ones and demon lover. Couldn't use the holy water on the 4th since he had living units, so i had to use freezing potion instead to keep them pinned.

Safe to say that lowly alchemist got my highest kill count >.<
