D'Hormir Withertoll
Lytra Storme (I've only seen the living version tho)
I'm not sure if these are apprentices, but their name shows up as undead in the unit list.
Master Okram
Neh Oxar
well dark apprentice get 2-3 notable things.
1 Nor's Curse ... which remove s50% dark resist in an AoE on top of some damage. that alone ... is busted strong.
2- Nor's Gift - increase dark resist by 50% and make target do dark damage. ... basically you "now the dark cant even hurt you" when you face other undead. which is easy to win if you use plague before hand (-25% dark) and use eventually Nor's Curse which makes -75% dark resist.
3- they can get the undead healer perk which heals 30hp spreads between your units. which is nice on its own. to start getting some free regen until you get enough economy to put some unnatural regen on your tougher dudes. usually the t1 and some t2 dont have that much hp that they will end up with full life in 2-3 turn with just 1 healer. you can use Aid to speed up recovery process.
Fire Mage with their boon can be useful... +50% elem resist can be useful when you go against demons, face the demon mage or the mage that use orcs and beast as all those high end monster will do fire.
Earth mage can be useful for their stone skin buff (50% phys resist)
not really sure what other mage would be useful.
nature is pretty useless, so is warden, they only heal living stuff and provide no noticeable buffs.
Summoners ... maybe ? problem is their summon feels pretty weak and apply bleed. so unless you have a way to also remove the bleed or that the summoner is undead in which case one of the option on level up would be eat corpse. (actually arent undead bleed immune ? )
never seen light mage, maybe those exists ?
but basically having an undead necromancer (or say dark arts) is your best bet ... the heal perk alone is the best thing they can provide your troops.
Apprentice tend to be support they rarely get into the same ballpark as a t3 unit even less a t4.
they usually stay relatively squishy with maybe up to 100hp max, maybe 150 if you get a battlemage+orc combo. only really tanky one is Oskarm since he is both Undead AND ethereal so he has some near god tier resistances. but most mage will end up within the 60-70hp range and relatively low defenses, you may eventually use them as a ranger type ... IF you get the fortified barrack with the +range upgrade, and get the ranged archer chest .... and put some very offensive gems, like adding bleed/burn/poison ... or add flat damage x3 which would put his main attack around 35-40 damage per hit maybe.
i would have prefered we have a selective choice between maybe 3 recruits as our first apprentice, and eventully the same for our first hero.
i restarted 5-6 games i had 3 different heroes, 3 times i had the horse knight lady.
i also had some demon possessed assasin, and a dwarf girl bard/healer on a creature. i'm not sure sure how many heroes there is.
and i feel like your job choice determine your first apprentice, everytime i went with transmuter i ended up with the same first apprentice, and same with necromancer. (not interest in alchemist)
