Change unlocked crafting recipes from per-save to permanent
I don't have any issue with discovering recipes once, that's part of the initial exploration process - but once I've done it, I don't want to *redo* it on every subsequent playthrough.

The current setup just encourages me to open a wiki/guide tab in another window and use that instead of the perfectly useful in-game recipe book which seems really silly - all that effort to incorporate it in-game as a ui element, but then wiping it clean every new campaign.

I agree 100%
It's really not much to remember and almost entirely intuitive too

Especially when artificer has over 100 recipes and using some early game glyphs as material for later game glyphs is useful, it'd be nice to be able to look it up via what I've unlocked. Guess we'll stick to user-made lists for now.

+1 as option. Current situation is still more useful if one Steam account is used by multiple family members.

The whole thing is a bit weird. You can discover all the recipes with no in-game cost, only the real-life time cost of swapping ingredients. But they are only recorded after you actually create the recipe. However, once you figure the upper threshold requirements (for Alchemist and Necromancer at least) you are simply performing a series of manual combinations to discover them, which is rather tedious. Also, as a Necromancer, the first time you create a unit you don't know if the unit is gaining a bonus from the soul used or whether it is innate (unless you have a spare pristine soul).

Seeing all the recipes when you first start would be a bit overwhelming, which I guess is why discovery is limited by the quality of owned ingredients. I wonder if a better solution than making discovery "permanent" would be to just always show the recipes (like for room add-ons), but then provide filter toggles that by default: 1) hide the recipes you don't currently have the ingredients for, but 2) always show previously created recipes.

Delighted this is true for you, but it is not true at all for me. I see very little way to predict the types of, for example, potions will be created from combos of ingredients until the potion is made. Some scope for the simplest 3-dot potions, but when you reach the 4th-tier, not at all. Necromancy, no prediction at all, and for me at least, same with Artificier, no idea what anything is going to make before it is made.

Can’t tell if your trolling or not… there’s over 100 recipes just for rune crafting
