Is there an advantage to taking the same magic school twice? I notice the default necro takes death twice.

Like is there a limit to how many spells you can research so you have to take the same school twice if you want all the spells from that school. Or maybe its level based, your primary book gives up to lvl X of spells, and only our secondary book goes up to max level end game spells? Or does taking 2 different schools give you full access to both schools, in which case why would you ever double up?

You get more advanced spells I think? I know lost pages will add to your spell list (you start with 1 per selected school) (so death magic twice is 2 pages, giving you more advanced spell options sooner?)

Just a guess, mind you, I'd need to test it more once I've finished a full campaign to compared spell books.

Did anyone receive any pages for a base school in the campaign? So any pages for death, earthmaster, enchantment, guardian, mentalism or nature

I've gotten death for beating the circle mage of necromancy.

I did, being Death-Death (classic necromancer), received another Death page and it added...but was empty.

Secret of the Shaper sanctums all give you one extra spell page at the end of the event.

some missions in the cities also can give you one extra reward or spell from that school directly.
