I sure hope so, that would be nice.
I even thought I misunderstood something when every letsplayer I watched had those stupid goblins.
SF has many races, there should be a start for every race. I doesn't make any sense for me to start with goblins if I, say, plan on using elves or dwarves later (assuming those are even in the game?) and want nothing to do with them filthy greenskins.
Tip for dwarfes: start in the mountains and run east, there you will get most of their units even with a unique buff

it seems like there are only elven rangers (t2) and 2 elven heroes.
What kind of SF game is it without proper representation of elves?

Red square is roughly the current map of Conquest of Eo. To the south is where elves mainly reside, Finon Mir, and technically it's exactly the size of the current map.
