For a more indepth explanation, Enhance (the publisher) and THA* (developers) are both companies that work with artists and multimedia visual experiences primarily, and so a VR mode was desirable to showcase the game in a different way. There's also the HUMANITY AR EXPERIMENTS that were showcased at a museum in Tokyo: https://youtu.be/_BJaG1CSF8o
and a music video created in the game by the band METAFIVE https://youtu.be/A3auu-E3srs
for other ways the game has been showcased in unique ways other than playing it.
This game isn't VR only and it's not required to fully enjoy it, see it more as an additional way to experience the game.
If you barely like puzzle games or unique experience with a lot of diversity I can only recommend this game. It's personally my "Game of the Year 2023"
