It is obvious here that compatibility mode from either W-7/64 or W-10, is most probably the reason for those technical hiccups.
Quite normal, when specs specify Windows XP.
Compatibility mode is not able to translate the architecture of the game.
Patience does have it's limits, more so around the end of time trial (for refund).
